The victim is ‘fearful of being in their own home’
Police have issued an appeal after a burglar crept into a Tameside home before stealing a Peugeot GTI car while its owner slept upstairs.
Greater Manchester Police has released CCTV footage showing an individual searching the home with a torch.
The burglary occurred on Cecil Street, in Stalybridge, in the early hours of Wednesday, March 10.
Officers say that a man entered the property by drilling the lock and gaining access through the rear door at some point between 3.40am and 3.50am.
Two sets of car keys were taken, as well as the victim’s vehicle – a matte grey Peugeot GTI.
Police are urging any witnesses to step forward with information about the incident.
